A chance to sample and use some unusual vegetables, including Capel’s crop of chillies, in dishes in the Terrace Restaurant as well as fruity shakes and desserts made with locally grown fruit. There will be a display of Capel-grown fruit, vegetables, edible berries and autumnal foliage plus apple juice pressing and sampling.
Plus, if you’re proud of your jam or think your chutney is a force to be reckoned with then this is the time to put it to the test and enter Capel’s local preserve competition for the tastiest and most original homemade jam, chutney or jelly. There will also be local and Capel-grown produce and other plants for sale and garden walks at 1pm each day.
Further details about this event will be available on our website from March 2012.
