Heavy horse competitions and demonstrations
The Heavy Horse and Country Show promises to be a fantastic day out for all the family!
This exciting annual event is steeped in history and a wonderful opportunity to see the gentle giants of the horse world in action.
This event is a unique chance to get up close to the impressive Heavy Horse breeds and see their presentation, handling and working – a fascinating fun day for adults and children alike!
There will be a full timetable of shows and competitions, Heavy Horse competition winners, prizes and farrier demonstrations with specialist advice.

The Horse Show programme will run between 10:30 am to 3:30 pm. Please be aware that last admission is at 3.00pm and our Gardens close at 5pm.

| 10.30am | Heavy horses in hand (judged), including young stock |
| 12.30pm | Novice handler |
| 12.45pm | Ridden class (judged), including warm-up |
| 1.30pm | Fun dog show – enter on the day! |
| 2.30pm | Harness class (show and working harness) |
| 3.00pm | Horse drawn vehicles / agricultural implements |
| 3.30pm | Grand parade and presentation of rosettes |
