Come and enjoy our seasonal trail for children and families as you explore Capel Manor Gardens. Discover garden highlights including the Fairy Forest, Walled Garden, Holly Maze and mini zoo for daily animal talks.

Garden visitors on can also enjoy our Bonsai Annual Show and our Cactus and Succulent Annual Show running throughout May half-term, find out more below.

Terracotta pot painting and planting activity
Wednesday 27 May and Friday 29 May
2 Sessions: 10am and 12.30pm
Get creative by painting your own terracotta pot and planting a colourful flower to take home! This fun indoor workshop is perfect for children aged 5+ (and grown-ups too). All materials are provided, just wear old clothes as things might get a little messy!
Standard Garden admission applies. The workshop costs £8 per participant. Children must be supervised at all times.
Sessions run daily at 10am and 12:30pm, please arrive 10 minutes early.



Cactus and Succulent Annual Show
From Saturday 23 to Monday 25 May, you can come along to our annual show that exhibits an unbeatable variety of cacti and succulents. If you have an interest in these plants, you will have the opportunity to speak to our exhibitors and find out more.
Bonsai Annual Show
On Saturday 23 May, visitors can also view a spectacular display of bonsai trees. Their careful cultivation techniques and attention to detail help capture the essence of nature in miniature.
Animal experiences
Private animal experiences are available to book daily throughout the half-term week. They are led by the keepers in our mini zoo making them fun, safe and informative. Creating special bonds with our furry friends promises to be a great day out for all the family. All experiences include full access to the Gardens.
