Capel Manor's history

Capel Manor boasts a rich history that dates back to the late 13th century. The estate has seen many changes over the years, before becoming home to Capel Manor College and Gardens.

Weddings at Capel Manor Gardens

Our picturesque grounds are the perfect place for unique wedding ceremonies, from intimate services to larger celebrations of up to 150 guests. Couples are able to choose from a number of licensed locations.

Activities around the Gardens

Enjoy a day out for all the family at Capel Manor Gardens.

Stamp trail

Children can use our map to find all the locations within the Gardens to collect stamps. Once they have completed their activity sheet, this can be given to reception and they will receive a medal to take home.

Holly maze

Our holly maze was designed and created by Adrian Fisher, the world’s most prolific maze designer; enjoy twists and turns along the way as you find the right path to the viewing platform for amazing views.

Cactus house

Make sure you take a wander through the Display House to view our impressive cacti and succulent collection. A joint venture with the Lea Valley Branch of the British Cactus and succulent Society.
