Garden Code
We would like all visitors to our Gardens to enjoy our facilities. We ask you to please respect the estate and keep in mind that as well as being a visitor attraction, we are also home to Capel Manor College, and therefore:
- All visitors with children must ensure they are supervised at all times
- Visitors must be considerate of others and put all litter in the appropriate bins
- Visitors are prohibited from playing ball and other games on the estate
- Visitors must not climb the trees
- No vehicles (bicycles, tricycles, skateboards, roller skates or scooters etc.) other than powered wheelchairs can be used or brought onto the estate
- Music players are not permitted in the grounds
- Visitors must not have barbeques on the estate however, picnics are welcome
- Visitors must request permission when taking photography or videos for commercial or wedding purposes, additional costs apply.
- Take care around open water features
- Please do not feed the animals, they are on special diets
- Smoking is prohibited in all areas
- Visitors must be suitably dressed to enter the Gardens
Well-behaved dogs on leads are welcome at Capel Manor Gardens, however please follow these guidelines when visiting with your dog:
- Keep your dog on a lead at all times
- No dogs are allowed in the mini zoo for the welfare of our animals
- Clear up immediately after your dog if it fouls
- Make sure your dog wears a collar with your name and address on it – this is a legal requirement under the Control of Dogs Order and could be vital if your dog gets lost
- Keep your dog under proper control at all times
