Overview

Created to mark the 100th birthday of Her Majesty Queen Elizabeth The Queen Mother, the Garden was recently renovated and planted with many of Her Majesty’s favourite plants. Opened on 30 May 2001 by The Queen Mother she delighted in visiting, remarking on the memories the plants brought back.

The Queen Mother was a very knowledgeable horticulturist and enjoyed growing a wide variety of plants for seasonal interest at her various properties.
