Overview
Alpaca walking is great fun and a fantastic experience for all animal-lovers. Your day will begin with our zookeeper giving a quick health and safety briefing. You will then learn some fun alpaca facts before being introduced to your very own furry friend!
The route takes you round our impressive 30-acre estate, with plenty of photo opportunities. At the end of the walk you will be able to feed your new four-legged friend a treat as a thank you, then explore our Gardens at your leisure. Enjoy some refreshments at our café, and meet many more animals at our mini zoo.
Alpacas are naturally inquisitive and gentle animals, each with their own unique personality. All of our herd are halter-trained, allowing an enjoyable experience for both you and your alpaca.

£25 to walk your own alpaca
£40 to share with a friend
Prices include a 30-minute alpaca walk and animal feed as well as entry to our Gardens and mini zoo.
- Available on Saturdays, Sundays and during half term at 11.30am from March to October. All sessions must be booked at least 48 hours in advance.
- Upon booking you will receive a confirmation email that you will need to show to the team at our Reception desk on arrival.
- This is a 30-minute experience, please arrive 15 minutes prior to the start time to complete the health and safety form at our Reception desk.
- A maximum of 6 people are permitted to experience this encounter at any given time.
- This experience is suitable for children between the ages of 8 and 16, they must be accompanied by a paying adult and be supervised at all times.
- This is an outdoor activity. Please wear appropriate clothing and suitable footwear. Flip flops and open-toed shoes are not allowed.
- Should we need to cancel your experience due to particularly bad weather or any other unforeseen circumstances, or if you need to cancel your booking, you will have the option to move to an alternative available date.
- Dogs are not permitted in the mini zoo.
